New key employees in operations and development in Travel and Leisure industry

Kimmo Gauriloff, StaffPoint’s Region Director for Travel and Leisure, who has clocked up more than 20 years of service, is moving on to new challenges. “I made my decision at the beginning of the year. While I am convinced that StaffPoint’s latest organisational changes will have a positive impact, I want to keep my word and take on the new challenges I had already decided to accept. Even the best teams have to evolve,” says Gauriloff.

According to Anu Ahokas, Group CEO, Kimmo Gauriloff’s decision to take a new step in his career is understandable:

“Kimmo started at StaffPoint in 1997 as a temporary staffer. He was promoted to account management in 1999 and has played an important key role as Region Director. He has been very influential in the development of our business and is a solution-oriented and valued colleague. What is more, he has always been good at delegating responsibility to his team. I am confident that our Travel and Leisure recruitment teams will continue to meet expectations and come up with new ideas,” says Ahokas.

Veli-Pekka Ahola assumes operating responsibilities

Veli-Pekka Ahola, the manager of the Travel and Leisure industry recruitment team, will continue to lead operations in Travel and Leisure. Recruitment teams already assigned to the HoReCa industry in the cities of Rovaniemi, Tampere and Helsinki will continue as before. Hannu Romppanen, Key Account Manager will be starting in a new position so we are looking for someone to replace him in the team.

With 12 years at StaffPoint, Veli-Pekka Ahola knows the industry’s staffing needs. His expertise and active approach to cooperation mean that he enjoys the confidence of the entire Group. Ahola has already set his sights on the coming season:

“I’ve led our recruitment team for many years and have been pleased to follow the development of StaffPoint’s offering. In addition to temporary staffing, we carry out executive-level recruitment, provide consultation on HR matters and have introduced an efficient electronic system for reserving shifts. The global company Randstad has provided new channels for finding talent abroad.

Offering full HR service with new key employees in the industry

Anu Ahokas confirms that StaffPoint’s Tourism and Leisure team will also be gaining new talent.

“As an active developer of employment and growth services I provide direct contacts with officials in the northernmost ELY Centres. I keenly follow decision-making concerning the tourism industry of Finland’s North in particular.

Jussi Aulin, the COO of StaffPoint Oy’s staffing services also works on developing strategic customer relations.

“Developing the Travel and Leisure business, anticipating changes and new types of win-win situations are of interest to the Group and its principal owner Sponsor Capital. We will do everything to make next season a great one,” Aulin says.
