Construction Site Manager

Whitewater Group is expanding its operations to support the development of a new data centre site in Finland through the establishment of a subsidiary. Now you have the opportunity to join them on their exciting mission! 

On behalf of our client Whitewater Group, we are looking for an experienced

CONSTRUCTION SITE MANAGER

to lead day-to-day site work, ensuring safety and quality of the data centre project in Espoo area. This is a hands-on, site-based role, where you will take the lead in coordinating subcontractors, managing health & safety, and keeping the site on track.

You will be employed by StaffPoint on a permanent contract and assigned to work with our client, Whitewater Group. The Projects are located in area of Espoo, Finland, so we are looking for person who can reach this area easily.

 

Main Tasks

  • You are responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, the schedule, quality control and safety
  • Run morning supervisor meetings and daily briefings for the team
  • Supervise subcontractors and workers on active job sites
  • Plan and oversee crane lifts (ISO 23813 qualification preferred)
  • Keep a daily site diary of activities and submit reports to management
  • Coordinate logistics (materials, deliveries, equipment, and storage)

 

Qualifications

 

  • Relevant construction-related education (e.g., construction foreman or engineer degree)
  • Min 5 years’ experience in site construction and integration, for example civil engineering, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Experience with large excavations and heavy crane lifts
  • Experience in Health & Safety qualifications in construction site. You hold an Occupational Safety Card (preferred)
  • Hot Works Certificate (preferred)
  • Crane planning and supervision qualification (ISO 23813) (preferred)
  • Confined space training (preferred)
  • Good interaction and cooperation skills
  • Strong character – able to speak up and lead firmly in a busy site environment
  • Strong English skills (Finnish a plus)
