R&D Process Consultant

As our business continues to grow, Taipuva Consulting is looking for an experienced R&D Process Consultant to strengthen our team in Finland. You will work as a consultant and project/service manager with leading Nordic organizations on interesting and significant projects. Your clients may operate in various fields such as industrial automation, medical devices, or aerospace. While our office is located in Tampere, you can also live elsewhere in Finland, as remote work is a standard for us.
As an R&D Process Consultant, you will help Taipuva's clients succeed by advising and training them, as well as implementing processes on the Siemens Polarion® digital platform. You will act as the principal consultant for your own clients, leading the entire customer collaboration as an expert and acting as a project manager. You will support clients in their product development processes, understanding their business, product development phases, and the lifecycle of both physical products and software development. You will work in collaboration with the client's management and various experts, and internally coordinate projects and share knowledge and ideas with Taipuva's own expert team. For the coding skills requiring technical implementation parts, you can rely on our experienced back-office.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a versatile professional who understands product development processes and product lifecycle, is accustomed to working with clients, and has experience in project management. You are curious and eager to learn new things. You will naturally need to adapt to different client situations and find analogies. Your background may be in product and/or software development and in managing/enhancing some of the following areas:
- Requirements management
- Test management
- Risk management (product safety and cybersecurity)
- Change and configuration management
- Project management
- Process modeling
- Improvement methods (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
- Agile development methods (Scrum and enterprise agile, e.g., SAFe)
- Product and software architecture design methods
- The impact of regulations and standards on all the above (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace industries)
Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Fluent English skills, good Finnish and other language skills are an advantage (e.g. Swedish, Danish)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage projects effectively
- Skills in facilitating workshops and training sessions
- Experience working with customers and engineers
- Experience in customer success management or account management
- Experience in using and/or configuring product/software development tools such as Polarion, Atlassian, DOORS, or similar
