Tank Supervisor

Whitewater Group is expanding its operations to support the development of a new data centre site in Finland through the establishment of a subsidiary. Now you have the opportunity to join them on their exciting mission! 

On behalf of our client Whitewater Group, we are looking for an experienced

TANK SUPEVISOR

to oversee the installation of tanks and related works on a data centre project site in Espoo area. This is a site-based role and you will work closely with subcontractors and site teams to make sure heavy lifting, excavations, and installation activities are carried out safely and to a high standard.

You will be employed by StaffPoint on a permanent contract and assigned to work with our client, Whitewater Group. The Projects are located in area of Espoo, Finland, so we are looking for person who can reach area easily.

 

Main Tasks

 

  • Supervise and coordinate daily site works related to tank installations, excavations, and heavy crane lifting
  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of storage tanks.
  • Ensure tanks are functioning properly and safely.
  • Plan and oversee lifting operations in line with ISO 23813 standards
  • Carry out daily safety and quality inspections, including hot works where required
  • Oversee subcontractors on site and check work against drawings and specifications
  • Manage site logistics for tanks and lifting equipment
  • Report progress and raise any issues early to keep the project on track

 

Qualifications

 

  • Relevant construction-related education (e.g., engineer degree)
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in site-based construction roles, at least 2 years with a tank or vessel installation supervision or similar
  • Experience supervising large excavations and heavy crane lifts
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Occupational Safety Card (mandatory) and Hot Works Certificate (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Crane planning and supervision qualification to ISO 23813 (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Strong English skills (Finnish is a plus)
  • Good interaction and cooperation skills
